Krystel Tchatchou Kouakam, Allied ASID

I am member of other Interior Design associations such as NEWH where I sometimes volunteer for events they
organize. I also do a lot of pro bono designs for my church.

I believe that my past experience in different design firms has prepared me well for this position. I learned to
work with others to achieve common goals. I also learned how to manage conflicts and make the best decisions
when working with a team.

With very little, my motivation, commitment, adaptability, and beliefs lead me to constantly try to enhance the
life of others with my everyday actions as I feel a responsibility to giving back and helping people that have not
been fortunate as I am, which is realizing the role I can play in this world that is not fulfilled for my own sake, but
for those who need the positive example of leadership.

I am convinced that my experience will allow me to contribute positively to the ASID Washington Metro Chapter.
