Description
A working charrette with the City of Alexandria to move neuroinclusive design and brain health out of research and into real rooms.
The research on how space shapes the brain is compelling, and the white papers are plentiful. What the profession is missing is built work.
On Monday, November 16, the ASID Washington Metro Chapter, in partnership with the City of Alexandria and with support from IWBI and Lutron, brings together interior designers, architects, developers, and policymakers for a one day working charrette. The City will open the day with a real challenge and a real space drawn from ALX Forward, its strategic plan for growth. From there, practitioner facilitators lead World Café conversations that move neuroinclusive design and brain health out of theory and into a project Alexandria can carry forward.
This isn't another day about why it matters. It's a day about what we build next, starting in our own backyard.
