President Elect: Mia Whitaker

As a dedicated interior designer and business owner, I understand the profound impact well-designed spaces have on individuals and communities. My passion lies in creating meaningful, sustainable designs that balance aesthetics, functionality, and environmental responsibility.

Serving on the ASID DC Metro Chapter Board has given me the opportunity to connect with designers, industry leaders, and students, fostering engagement and collaboration within our design community. In this role, I have worked to bridge the gap between emerging designers and established professionals, ensuring that ASID remains a valuable resource for all.

I hope to continue strengthening ASID’s presence by expanding outreach, increasing student participation, and promoting sustainable practices within our industry. My goal is to help ASID remain an inclusive, innovative, and forward-thinking organization that empowers designers at every stage of their careers.
